The problem

A home-DIY YouTube channel has an audience, but YouTube cannot sort tutorials by difficulty, sell an in-depth course, or keep a community of people who help each other alive.

Merkindium, home page in light themeMerkindium, home page in dark theme

The home page, in the theme chosen for this page: Merkindium comes in light and dark.

The answer

A platform that extends the channel:

  • tutorials sorted by category and difficulty, with search and filters;
  • premium courses by subscription;
  • forum, project gallery, comments, favourites and reviews;
  • moderation and administration;
  • in French, English and Spanish, in light and dark mode.

Three screens

① The tutorial catalogue. ② A tutorial page. ③ A forum thread with the editor and its "Preview" button — the one from the ticket on the home page.

What was hard

Sticking to the mockups.

An automated audit compares every screen with its mockup, style by style. That audit is what produced ticket #940.

Tests that don't lie.

40 of the 440 agent PRs exist only to stabilise flaky tests. That is the price of a test suite that actually protects.

Staying fast.

A performance budget is checked on every PR.

What is left

Going live is waiting on administrative steps (business registration, then activating real payments). Legal pages need finishing. The main version's automated tests have been failing since 30/09 and must be fixed before launch. Payments currently run in test mode only.

Under the hood

Next.js 15, PostgreSQL and Prisma, Google sign-in (Auth.js), Stripe, next-intl, Tailwind v4 and shadcn/ui. Adversarial pre-flight: three agents found 59 contradictions in the specification before the first ticket, all resolved.
